 7\n\nVOICES is a free event from the Greater Flint Creative Alliance that 
 is a celebration of poetry and the written word. Writers\, poets\, and spo
 ken word artists are invited to share their work with an audience during o
 ur open mic opportunities and are encouraged to engage both artist and gue
 st in the hopes of sharing their passion for the written word. \n\nAlong w
 ith the open mic performances we will have art on display showing the coll
 aborations between artists and writers and the many forms these meetings o
 f the mind can take. \n\nThis is a free event that will feature light snac
 ks and  music and everyone is encouraged to attend or participate.\n\nStar
