    The BEST Project is pleased to announce that registration for the upcoming Nonprofit Governance Summit is still available! The event takes place at the Holiday Inn at Gateway Centre on May 29th from 9am-4pm; registration is from 8:30am-9:00am. Attached you will find the conference agenda and a registration form. You can register by printing the attached registration form and sending it with a check to BEST OR by going to the following website to register online: https://volunteer.united-e-way.org/uwgcev/donate/. Summit Activities include: Welcome from Congressman Dale Kildee Keynote speaker Linda Crompton, President and CEO of BoardSource Networking Opportunities Morning and Afternoon Governance Workshops presented by BoardSource and the NEW Center Governance from the Funders' Perspective: A Funders' Panel ALL Genesee County nonprofit organizations are invited; teams of board and leadership staff are encouraged to attend! Up to 50 participating agencies will receive a FREE Board On-Line Board Assessment from BoardSource AND some will be eligible for a FREE facilitated Board Retreat. The Summit will also be a great place for those who are interested in serving on a board for the first time. Prospective board members will learn more about this volunteer responsibility AND will likely connect with agencies from across the community that are looking for new board members.
