4C Child Care Unlimited, along with the Flint Journal, Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission Crossroads Village, Great Start Collaborative Parent Coalition and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department, will host the 25th Annual Kaleidoscope Play Day, to be held at Crossroads Village on Saturday, June 7, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Admission to Crossroads Village is free to the public during the event hours with a coupon available in the Flint Journal.
There will be numerous children’s activities located throughout the Village, including parachute play, boardwalk drawing, newspaper hats, word search, bubble play, magic shows, tattoos and magic painting. Musical entertainment this year will feature Gemini with concerts held in the Opera House. Other entertainment will include our perennial favorite storyteller, “Mother Goose,” “Here Come the Clowns,” and magic shows. The Genesee County Sheriff’s Department Team will be at Crossroads Village to provide fingerprinting and IDs for young children. In addition, there will be free rides on the ferris wheel and the pony carts during the event hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., compliments of the Great Start Collaborative Parent Coalition.
This event is generously sponsored and supported by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs through its Region 5 Regranting Agency, the Greater Flint Arts Council, 4C Child Care Unlimited, the Flint Journal, the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission, Alpha XI Delta, JJ Cardinals in Grand Blanc and the GISD Great Start Collaborative Parent Coalition. Volunteers include students from Mott Community College and Kettering University.
