    A celebration of the Emancipation Proclamation and Afrikan American Independence. The celebration begins at Max Brandon Park with activities beginning at noon. A Parade starts at Max Brandon Park at 5:30 and goes to Riverbank Park Downtown Flint where there will be a celebration with live music, vendors, a movie screening and more.
