Featuring Wendy Bloom, mezzo soprano, women of the Flint Festival Chorus and Flint Festival Youth Chorus performing Mahler's Symphony No. 3 in D minor. Tonight's offering, the stunning Symphony No. 3 by Gustav Mahler, paints pictures of nature so vivid you'll almost see them: A slow awakening gives way to solemn chords that lead to sweet, gentle melodies. You'll become immersed in stately rhythms and eloquent songs, each splendid little section more glorious than the last. A popular mezzo soprano, women of the Flint Festival Chorus and the Flint Festival Youth Chorus add beautiful complexity to this incredible work, your entire evening's rapture.
