THE CLEAN HOUSE by Sarah Ruhl Mathilda, a woman from Brazil, is unhappy cleaning Lane's house. She would prefer to be a professional comedian. As Lane's life slowly unravels, Mathilda struggles to find humor in a house in dire need of it. A finalist for the 2005 Pulitzer Prize by one of the most original new voices in American theatre, this quirky and unexpectedly moving comedy takes a look at love, loss, and the power of a good joke. THE CLEAN HOUSE will be read Sunday, March 22 at 6:00pm on the Elgood stage at Flint Youth Theatre. Admission is $5 which includes a talk-back with the actors and light refreshments provided by FANDANGLES'. Readings in the OFF THE PRESS SERIES are recommended for adults and older teens. This staged reading includes explicit language and could be offensive to some viewers.
