    Whether he's sneaking out of Aunt Polly's house at night to visit the graveyard, duping his friends into white-washing a fence, stealing a kiss from Becky Thatcher or taking a stand against the murderous Injun Joe, Tom Sawyer is one of the most beloved characters of American literature. THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER will be directed by Walter Hill, choreographed by Peggy Mead-Finizio, and designed by Bill Ward. The company will include a large cast and crew of students. WHO: Open to all students in grades 7 and above. (You must currently be in 7th grade not beginning in the fall of the 2009-10 school year). WHEN: Tuesday, June 2, 6:30pm-9:30pm (check-in begins after 6:00pm) WHERE: 1220 E. Kearsley St. in Flint?s Cultural Center-use FYT's Kearsley St. entrance. If you are auditioning you must: Attend the entire audition. Wear a loose shirt, sweat pants, and tennis shoes, no head covering and have your hair pulled back from your face. It is not necessary to prepare anything to audition or interview. You do not need to audition in order to interview for a technical position. You may leave after your technical interview. Students of color are urged to audition or interview. Rehearsals begin Monday, June 8 and will continue Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday, and Fridays. Tech week begins Sunday, July 12 and continues through Thursday, July 16. Not all roles and technical positions require you to attend all rehearsals or work calls. The rehearsal schedule is subject to change.
