"Into the Deep"

Sink into the sea in the museum’s custom built, walk-in, 15 foot yellow submarine! Listen to the sonar sounds and peer into the depths of the “ocean” through periscopes and portholes! Children can learn about diving and SCUBA gear with Diver Dan…but watch out for SHARKS! Our Sea-k and Find Mural will have you scouting schools of fish and exotic sea life! An aquarium with live fish helps children learn the difference between freshwater and saltwater habitats! There are examples of real sea specimens—shells, coral, and live hermit crabs! This exhibit offers educational information about sea life, aquatic food chains, ocean light zones and more. Signs include questions for adults to ask children while interacting in the exhibit.
