November 2010 Studio Show (non-dinner performance) The Good Body By Eve Ensler Eve Ensler has done it again! From the author that made “vagina” a household word through her successful play The Vagina Monologues and created controversy across the globe comes this witty, intelligent and obsessive look at what women think of as the “perfect” body. Through the eyes of Eve we catch a glimpse of her ardent search for the answers to our attempt at flawlessness. In the course of her journey she has once again interviewed women from around the world and all walks of life, retelling their stories in her zealous attempt to achieve acceptance for all women from within themselves as well as each other. The Good Body is full of sketches of women who are at battle with their ambivalence as outsiders and their corresponding desire to be good, desirable, and acceptable. Vertigo Theatrics is pleased to produce the area’s premier of this thought stimulating, moving show! It is the perfect show for the return of our much requested Studio Series.
