The Flint Children’s Museum presents a fun-filled evening of questions and quizzes at the Are You Smarter than a Grade Schooler? Fundraiser Event. Five local “celebrity” contestants will test their knowledge to see if they are smarter than a grade school student!
The event will take place on Friday, October 15 at 7 p.m. in Kettering University’s McKinnon Theater at 1700 W. University Ave. A dessert reception, provided by Fandangles’, will immediately follow at the Flint Children’s Museum.
Honorable Judge Larry J. Stecco, Kettering University Professor Dr. Laura Sullivan, Genesee County Sheriff Robert J. Pickell, Kenyetta Dotson from Church Without Walls Ministries, and ABC 12’s Leslie Toldo will answer questions about grade school subjects in a format similar to the television game show “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?”. The contestants can receive help in the form of three lifelines from the student gallery made up of students from three local schools: St. John Vianney Catholic School, Kuehn-Haven Middle School, and Eisenhower Elementary.
Kay Kelly will play the role of Classroom Teacher. The event will be hosted by WNEM TV5 news anchor Carrie Sharp.
