Intended for preschool-K aged children. Meet Devin Scillian the 2011 "Michigan Reads!" One State, One children's Book Program author of "Memoirs of a Goldfish." Open to families as well as groups. Groups of more than 8, please make a reservation at (810)249-2170, as space is limited. Michigan Reads! is a One State, One Michigan Children's Book program presented by the Library Of Michigan with corporate sponsorship from Target and additional support from the Library of Michigan Foundation.
Memoirs of a Goldfish presents a charming view of life from inside a small glass bowl! With his bowl to himself and his normal routine, Goldfish loves his life, until one day...intruders arrive and it looks like things will never be the same. But time away from his new companions give him a a chance to rethink the pros and cons of a solitary life and discover what he's been missing. Filled with clever rhyming text, the message about friendship accompanying the bright illustrations will captivate readers of all ages.
