    The Library is hosting the "Red Beret Quilt Exhibit" In honor of the 75th anniversary of the General Motors Sit-down Strike 1936-37. See the collection of quilts made by contemporary artists to honor the Women's Emergency Brigade also known as the Red Berets; women who supported the strikers during their 44-day occupation of General Motors facilities (Fisher One and Two and Chevrolet Plant Four). For more information on the exhibit see www.theredberets.vclarke.com. A reception will be held December 13, 5:30 pm. At 6 pm on December 13 there will be a screening of the documentary "With Babies and Banners" the story of the Women's Emergency Brigade.
