The Tapology Concert is an annual tradition of the Tapology Dance Festival, which offers tap workshops taught by world renowned concert artists and is hosted by FIM and Flint's Cultural Center. A local production, Tapology showcases local talent on stage with the greatest percussive dancers and musicians of our time.

The Concert is Tapology's largest fundraising effort. A portion of every ticket sold goes to support arts and dance instruction for youth throughout the State of Michigan year round; nurturing creative talents in young people and providing opportunities for them to develop, build resume's and find excellence within themselves.

Tap, African Dance and Hip Hop artists along with Tapology’s Youth Ensemble, take the stage for the 12th annual percussive dance performance. Tapology celebrates a decade of increasingly exciting family concerts, embracing the legacy of great dancers, past and present; and the sound of Jazz that defines the legacy.

Concert artists include, Savion Glover protégé’ Cartier Williams; “So You Think You Can Dance” finalist Bianca Revels; Joseph Wiggan, Michaela Lerman, Jason Janus, Quynn Johnson, Yukiko Misumi, Jazz Pianist and actor Nick Rolfe, local poet Mama Sol; with our own Tapology Youth Ensemble performing original works created specifically for the style and passion these youngsters harness to set the stage on fire!
