    Film Premiere: T-Rex

2012 is the first year women are allowed to box in the Olympics, and fighting for gold is 17-year-old Claressa “T-Rex” Shields. Undefeated and utterly confident, Claressa has a fierceness that extends beyond the ring. She’ll protect her family at any cost, even when their dysfunction threatens to derail her dream. Her coach and father figure, Jason Crutchfield, gives her everything she needs to make it happen, from a second home to intensely focused training. Directors Drea Cooper and Zackary Canepari and producer Sue Jaye Johnson documented their journey from Flint to China to the top of the podium in London and back home, where life is complicated by a surprising lack of endorsements and increasing family pressure. It turns out that getting the gold medal is not her most heroic achievement; staying the course is.
