    27th Annual Young Artists Today Competition April 1-29 (Reception April 12)

    Bring your families and friends and enjoy The Arts!

    Please join us at the main Flint Public Library, located in Flint's beautiful Cultural Center, for lite refreshments, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 5-6pm for the 27th Annual Young Artists Today Awards Ceremony and Reception to celebrate the Award Wnning Artists as we announce the top three award winners who will win a year's scholorship to Flint Institute of Arts' Art School. 10 Honorable Mentions artists will also take a bow. No one will envy the Judge's job in this top-notch exhibit of art produced by teanage artists, 9th-12th grades, from the tri-county areas of Genesee, Shiawassee, and Lapeer Counties. Don't miss the fun and don't miss this excellent show!

    Come early and take in all the Flint Public Library has to offer! Surely something for everyone! While you are at it, make a Day Trip of it! Many great places for lunch, downtown, the surrounding area, or at the Flint Farmer's Market, with shopping and parks to play in nearby! Stop by Greater Flint Arts Council between 9am-5pm, located at 816 South Saginaw Street, next to Halo Burger in beautiful downtown Flint, and enjoy, as well, the amazing art of Flint's own Alpha Montessouri! Always Free!!! All of the art produced by these Young Artists is sure to be eye popping! REWARD YOURSELF with a day emersed in THE ARTS!!!

    Feel free to take in The Young Artists Today show any day, Tuesday thru Saturday, April 1st to April 29th during regular business hours of the Flint Public Libray. Please remember they are Closed Sundays and Mondays. Make sure you stop next door and visit the Flint Institue of Arts, Free Saturdays are sponsored by First Merit Bank. Inquire as to their Art School and learn about scholorships and opportunities for yourself to grow in the arts!!!!
