    2016 Flint Festival of Quilts community opportunity to support Project Linus

    2016 Flint Festival of Quilts:  

    Community Opportunity to Support the National Organization Project Linus right here at Home by Donating Quilts and Afghans for Children in Crisis

     

    *Donate a Quilt or Afghan to Project Linus for Children in Crisis. 

    Each quilt site throughout the festival is ready to receive your donation of tangible love for children who need to know Someone Cares. All donations of afgahans and quilts that fit the requirements of Project Linus will be donated a chapter of the national organization. Any donations that do not fit their specific requirements will be donated to one of several area organizations that support people in need. A small act of kindness goes along way...

ASBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, CALVARY APOSTOLIC TABERNACLE, FIRST CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN, FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, FLINT PUBLIC LIBRARY, GOOD BEANS CAFE, GREATER FLINT ARTS COUNCIL, the HISTORIC SPENCER HOUSE MORTUARY, KNOB HILL BED AND BREAKFAST, THE LOCAL GROCER, ST. MATTHEW ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, TOTEM BOOKS AND WILDROOT COFFEE!!!...It gets Even Better!!!...Flint's Nationally Acclaimed MTA Bus Service created a Special Dedicated Route just to serve the patrons of the 2016 Flint Festival of Quilts!!!     Sign language may be offered throughout the festival at participating locations. Please contact the 2016 Flint Festival of Quilts Coordinator, Lanie Nix, at 810.336.9555 for other special needs...it is the intention of Greater Flint Arts Council to make the Festival of Quilts as accessible as possible for as many as possible with an attitude of fun community service for ALL!
