Joann A. Downing LGBT Artists of Michigan

This is an annual exhibition of works of all media made by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Artists who are living in Michigan. It is named in honor of Joann A. Downing a former Development Director for Greater Flint Arts Council who passed away due to breast cancer in 1999. Joann was a lesbian and she worked diligently in her lifetime for equality for LGBT people. She was a co-founder of the 2007 Out and About Flint Festival from which this exhibition was created.

This exhibition opens 6:00pm to 9:00pm on October 14, 2016 during the famous Downtown Flint Second Friday ARTWALK.
