Toni Erdmann

The Friends of Modern Art film series at the Fiint Institute of Arts presents a German comedy that has earned an Academy Award nomination for best foreign language feature. “Toni Erdmann,” directed by Maren Ade, is about a practical-jokester dad who tries to connect with his workaholic daughter by creating an outrageous alter ego and posing as her CFO’s life coach. “Refreshing … downright hilarious,” Screen International has said of this crowd-pleasing movie.
