The exciting Cool City Art Auction is approaching fast. The hippest party in mid winter will have some of the most exciting original artwork, music, food and beverages. The preview will happen on the 2nd Friday ArtWalk (Buckham and GFAC only) and the actual evening of fun and silent auctions will happen on March 26, 5:30-10:00 PM. All 4 auctions begin at 5:30. The auctions close at the times indicated below. The 2009 Cool City Art Auction will benefit 4 organizations and will take place at 4 locations along the Saginaw Street Corridor:
1) The Creative Alliance at Churchill’s (340 S. Saginaw St.)
Auction closes at 8:30PM
2) Red Ink Studios at the Wade Trim Building (555 S. Saginaw St. –Suite 100)
Auction closes at 9:00 PM
3) Buckham Gallery (134 ½ W. Second St.)
Auction closes at 9:30 PM
4) Greater Flint Arts Council (816 S. Saginaw St.)
Auction closes at 10:00 PM
Tickets for this frolicking night are $30 which includes admission, food, beverages and live entertainment. Tickets can be purchased from the organization of your choice. The agency you purchase your ticket from will be the beneficiary of your admission.

Enjoy the great outdoors and picture-perfect scenic views at Mt. Holly Ski and Snowboard Area. Come out and test your skills by taking a 350-foot vertical drop trip down Mt. Holly's 18 slopes and trails for beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers. Play more and wait less with Mt. Holly's 5 Rope Tows, 2 beginner friendly Wonder Carpet Conveyors and 7 Chairlifts, all of which can transport over 10,000 skiers and snowboarders to the mountain top every hour. Mt. Holly's Terrain Park will be snowboarders favorite ride this winter. Mt. Holly is open weekdays (Monday through Thursday) from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. with two daily sessions from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to close.
