Priority Children has completed its search for its 13th Children’s Champion Award nominees. The Children’s Champion Awards Breakfast is a unique opportunity for the entire Genesee County community to rally around children and to say collectively that children are our first priority. By celebrating all the incredible accomplishments of the Children’s Champion Award Recipients, it is our hope that our community continues to inspire and affirm the commitment we all have for our children. This year’s event will be held at the University of Michigan-Flint Recreation Center on February 8, 2008 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. Tickets are $10 each. This new venue provides opportunity to accommodate even more individuals and organizations at this heartwarming event. We anticipate 1,000 people joining us to celebrate our champions! The Children’s Champion Awards started in 1996 to recognize shining examples of those in the community doing good things for children. The awards are designed to recognize and thank individuals, businesses and organizations for their tremendous contributions toward making Genesee County the best place to raise children. Priority Children's mission centers on action---on moving from identifying needs and solutions to implementing those solutions and improving child well-being. Our methods are to bring community members together to devise and implement feasible, practical action plans to improve the health and well-being of our children.
