The Red Party: Valentine's Day Party
February 14, 2008
Add Review/CommentValentine's Day Party to Have Fun and Raise Funds for Flint’s Red Ink Project Dancing, drinks, music, art and romance will be featured at "The Red Party", a fun event that will enliven Flint's exciting art studios and gallery, Red Ink Flint, on Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 7 pm-11 pm. The Red Party is a unique new option for those seeking an entertaining and romantic experience on Valentine's Day. This celebration of love and art includes live music by Brothers Groove jazz ensemble of Detroit and dancing with DJ Jimi Hendricks as well as dinner by the French Laundry, drinks, and what Red Ink's Erin Onweller describes as "surprise live performances in a very sexy 'love lounge' atmosphere." This is also an opportunity to support Red Ink Flint in its mission of providing professional opportunities to emerging artists and making art cornerstone in revitalizing and uniting the Flint community. A unique feature of "The Red Party" will be a sale of heart-based art by Red Ink Artists as well as an auction of museum-quality American Surrealist and celebrated new contemporary works from the collection of the Frey Norris Gallery in San Francisco. Event Design is by Gerych's Florists. Although proceeds will go to support the word of Red Ink Flint, the cost for the event is very modest. Single tickets are $25 each and couple tickets $40 each if ordered by February 7. Tickets purchased at the door will be $35 each. Tickets can be ordered by calling (810) 232-1354. Singles, couples, and art lovers are all invited to come celebrate. According to Erin Onweller, "This event is perfect for those looking to celebrate Valentine's Day in style and give back to support the work of Red Ink Flint in our community at the same time!"
