The Friends of Modern Art film series at the Flint Institute of Arts presents a comedy-drama about an artistic high school student from the “wrong side of the tracks” who endures her senior year — and her difficult relationship with her mother.
Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf star in a witty, moving film that marked the directorial debut for actress Greta Gerwig and was nominated for five Academy Awards — best picture, best director, best screenplay (Gerwig), best actress and best supporting actress.
