A revelatory documentary, presented in the Friends of Modern Art film series at the Flint Institute of Arts, brings to light the profound and overlooked influence of indigenous people on North American popular music. The film focuses on such Native American icons as Link Wray, Jimi Hendrix, Robbie Robertson, and Buffy Sainte-Marie, whose work helped shape the soundtracks of our lives.
