Begin your Holidays with a free event on the campus of the Flint Cultural Center. Our festivities will include: a tree lighting ceremony, a visit with Santa, hands on arts and crafts in each building, Planetarium shows, festive music, caroling by local choral groups, refreshments and more.

The world is telling and listening to stories. All across the world on November 22, communities, like ours, are hosting "Tellabration" storytelling events to celebrate the power, beauty and fun of telling and listening to stories. This program is for all ages. Hear noted local tellers share tales and be a part of this world-wide event! Stay for the whole event from 3-5 p.m., or drop-in and "sit a spell."

Tumbao Bravo won the 2005 Detroit Music Award for "Outstanding Jazz Recording" for their debut release, "Montuno Salad." In 2006 they released their second CD "Amigos: From Our Hands."
