Vagabond Opera delivers a magical blend of Bohemian cabaret, Paris hot jazz, gut bucket swing, tango, Ukranian folk-punk ballads, and Klezmer, with elements of vaudeville, Duke Ellington, and Edith Piaf thrown in the mix. Meet a world of riverboat gambling queens, Turkish belly dancers, voices singing in 11 languages and a cabaret of rich musical phrasing and sparkling lyrics, all played with a gritty Vagabond edge. Once Upon a time, a Baker and his Wife journey into the woods on a quest to lift a witch's curse. On the way they cross paths with Jack of Beanstalk fame, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Cinderella and a menagerie of other fairy tale characters. They pursue individual wishes until their stories become entangled in unexpected ways - revealing what happens after "happily ever after."
