Vagabond Opera delivers a magical blend of Bohemian cabaret, Paris hot jazz, gut bucket swing, tango, Ukranian folk-punk ballads, and Klezmer, with elements of vaudeville, Duke Ellington, and Edith Piaf thrown in the mix. Meet a world of riverboat gambling queens, Turkish belly dancers, voices singing in 11 languages and a cabaret of rich musical phrasing and sparkling lyrics, all played with a gritty Vagabond edge. A Vagabond Opera show is a chance to time-travel to 1920s Paris on a wild riverboat full of fun and laughter. For tickets and information call (810) 237-7333 or log on to www.thewhiting.com. Part of the Jazz, Blues & Beyond Series. ASL Interpreted
