Applewood
Applewood is the estate of the Charles Stewart Mott families, built by Mr. Mott in 1916 at the edge of downtown Flint. As a gentlemen's farm, much of the Mott's food was grown on the grounds, and its barns housed horses, cows, pigs and chickens. Today this community resource encompasses the original home and barn, 34 acres of stately trees, expansive lawns, flower-filled gardens and the heritage apple orchard for which it was named. Come visit Applewood. Learn about its past and become part of its future.
