YMCA of Greater Flint
Just what is it that makes the YMCA programs so unique? Perhaps the Y's Character Development initiative is the most important element in all of its programming. Character Development teaches program participants the four cornerstones of true character: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. The Flint YMCA's commitment to character development makes its programs extraordinarily valuable to our community. Everyone involved from staff to volunteers is committed to accepting the role of a teacher of values as an integral part of his or her job. By participating in programs at the Flint YMCA, you and your children might just leave with more than you expect.

Flint-Genesee CVB's Pick of the Week...
- The Flint-Genesee County Convention & Visitors Bureau suggests the following discount package...
- Michigan Automotive History Starts in Flint:
Thousands visit Michigan yearly to get a glimpse of its mesmerizing Great Lakes. We'll give you another reason - automotive history. Since the early 1900s, the automotive industry has touched millions of families that call Michigan home. We invite you, and your families, to step back in time and discover these incredible automotive stories. At the Sloan Museum and Buick Gallery, witness the birth of General Motors, the UAW and the manufacturing industry that made Flint a leading industrial center. Then travel 30 minutes south of Flint, to Auburn Hills, and enjoy the "ride" at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum where more than 65 antique, custom and concept vehicles celebrate the proud American heritage of an automotive original. Then, somewhere between the fun, tour one of Flint's oldest Victorian Era homes, the Whaley Historical House Museum (optional tickets available).
Discounted, overnight packages are available starting as low as $75 per night, for a family of four, and includes admission to the Sloan/Buick Gallery, the Chrysler Museum and overnight accommodations at a Flint/Genesee County area hotel of your choice. For more information, visit "Overnight Pure FunPaks" or call the Flint-Genesee County Convention & Visitors Bureau at (810) 232-3261 or toll free at 1-877-FLINT-MI.
