Minigrant Opportunities from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA)

Friday, January 15, 2016 is the deadline to apply for the two Minigrant programs being offered. (See Below)

The Greater Flint Arts Council (GFAC) serves as the local Regional Regranting Agency for Region 6a Minigrant programs funded by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA).  Region 6a encompasses Genesee, Lapeer, and Shiawassee counties.

1) The Professional or Organizational Development (POD) Minigrant program provides up to $1,500 to assist Michigan professional artists, arts administrators, or non-profit arts and cultural organizations.  The grant awards are made to support applicants who will be participating in activities that help them grow professionally, such as working with a consultant, attending a conference, or receiving training.  Activities should occur between February 15, 2016 and September 30, 2016.

2) The Arts Project Minigrants provide up to $4,000 to support locally developed, high quality arts and cultural projects.  Michigan municipalities, schools, colleges/universities, and non-profit organizations can apply for this local funding for Region 6a projects that occur between February 15, 2016 and September 30, 2016.
