Communities First, Inc. presents its Second Annual African American Film Series! Join us for a reception with live music and food beginning at 5:30pm. The first film in the series is “Resurrecting Black Wall Street: The Blueprint” on November 10. A minimum donation of $2 is requested.
The film explores the foundations of the Greenwood section of Tulsa Oklahoma and the atrocity committed against black American citizens during the early part of the 20th century. The film extrapolates the implications of these tragic events to resurrect the ideas that led to the creation of one of the most prosperous black communities in American history.
