This show had the best singing in Flint since LaKisha Jones was on American Idol! The New McCree Theater troupe brought a vibrant vocal dimension to the FCP, who are always good, but they can't sing like this bunch. I hope they will join arms again in the future. At the first evening's production the sound amplification system was somewhat week, but that may have improved later. But still the best gig in town! Collapse

I've been to "Tunes" several times and it was a "Winner" every time. The sound quality outside under the tent leaves a little to be desired, but the "Live" quality way more than makes up for it. And it's FREE!!! This is a MUST DO for any live-music appreciator!!! Grab lunch at the U-M-F Pavilion, relax, and enjoy! Collapse

I took my daughter to the corn maze in clio and it was a blast. It is a little frustrating to find the check points. We will definitely go back. The people there are very helpful.

I attended the 2007 festival and it was nice. It wasn't a thrill a minute, but there was a nice variety of acts and I like the riverfront park. I'm looking forward to it again this year.

"Potty humor takes edge off 'Mutant Pop Culture' satire"

When Jon Coggins says "Mutant Pop Culture," the Buckham Alley Theatre production that opened Thursday (May 8) at Woodside Church, began as a search for his childhood, we must assume his youthful humor was generally quirky but less than clever. No one is safe from the satire, and plenty of well-known folks come under the "Mutant" microscope. But there also is a whole lot of potty and flatulence humor that undermines the high comedy upon which satire should be built. Co-anchoring the show is J.R. Nunley as a host of characters, most of them outrageous women. First, Coggins and Nunley begin as newscasters commenting on the passing scene. This setup recurs throughout, but most of the lines are read from a script. Unfortunately, neither fellow is very good at reading, so much of the comedy gets lost in the speed of the delivery. Also performing in this improvisation-based script are Aaron Kolb, William McMillan, Rebecca Coggins, Chris Wright and Levi Petrone. Collapse

I think that $8.00 is reasonable for an adult; however, I do not feel that $5.00 is a fair price for children 12 and under. Not every parent can afford this price or afford a babysitter for a child younger than age 5. I feel children under age 5 should be free. Partners of geneseefun.com checked into this and indeed children ages 4 and under are admitted free as long as they are accompanied by an adult for safety reasons. Collapse
