The Friends of Modern Art film series at the Flint Institute of Arts presents Spanish director Pedro Almodovar’s adaptation of Alice Munro’s short stories in which a middle-aged woman is forced to re-examine her life after learning that her long-lost daughter has resurfaced. This has been described by Newsweek as “an enthralling meditation on the mechanics of memory and grief.”
