The Friends of Modern Art film series at the Flint Institute of Arts presents a speculative drama about Vincent van Gogh that stars Willem Dafoe as the great artist.
Willem Dafoe’s Oscar-nominated performance highlights an account of the final years of van Gogh as the artist-in-exile is shown developing his unmatched style. Rupert Friend, Mads Mikkelsen, Mathieu Amalric, Emmanuelle Seigner and Oscar Isaac are also in the cast of a film lauded by the Detroit News as “masterful.”
