Chapters - A DIY/Self Published Author Showcase

Join us as we honor DIY books and their authors. 

This event is made to honor all authors and poets whose works have taken an alternate path to publication and who have used Do It Yourself methods to release their work. There are awful lot of talented authors in our midsts and we want to make sure to shine a light on a few of them. 

The event will be in the Ramsdell Community Room at the Flint Farmer’s Market and we will have nearly two dozen authors on hand to meet and discuss the process of writing, releasing, and promoting a book. We will have a very broad selection of authors and work that will appeal to every taste and interest from lovers of children’s literature, to fans of fantasy, to devotees of personal narratives, to mavens of the macabre and just about everything in between! We will also have three open mic sessions where our authors can tell you a little about themselves and read selections from their work. Each author will have a table with their books and promotional merchandise availble for you to purchase and peruse and you are more than welcome to talk to them as well. MOST of them won’t bite. 

For those with kiddos we’ll have something for them as well!

Our space is FULL but if this is a successful event we’d love to do it again so stay tuned!
