The African American Film Series is a part of our Culture Shock Program. Culture Shock, as its name suggests, provides cultural experiences that provoke, surprise, and stimulate. By altering and enhancing perceptions of arts and culture

Communities First, Inc., is excited to announce the 2021 African American Film Series in partnership with the Flint Institute of Arts.  This year’s series represents the seventh year of bringing this great series to the Community of Flint. This year’s series will return in the traditional format of an in-person movie.  However, due to the success of last year’s series, they have decided to present the insightful panel discussion live on Facebook the Saturday following the movie.  As always,
