First Fridays: Light, the Universe and Everything

With the invention of the spectroscope in the mid-nineteenth century, humanity got its first shot at understanding the nature and composition of stars. The spectroscope allowed astronomers to observe and analyze the light emitted by stars. Find out how spectroscopy has changed the study of astronomy in this fascinating lecture. Includes 7:00 p.m. showing of Ooky Spooky Light Show.
