Join the Genesee County Historical Society’s 2023 Preservation event, where you will learn how to research the history of your own home!

Do you hear footsteps in the dark? Your house may not be haunted, but we bet it does have mysteries. Become a detective and find answers to those questions that visit you every so often, maybe keeps you awake at night. When was my house built? Who lived here? What style is it? Why does my house …. Yes, the list goes on. But we will help you find the answers. Please purchase your tickets online, using the RSVPify link. Tickets cannot be purchased at the door. Ticket prices are $30 for GCHS Members and $35 for Non-Members.

12:30 Light lunch served (Provided by GCHS)
1:00 Interpreting your research with signage
1:30 –2:00 Q&A, hands on research, online or in the local history resource room
Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops, or the library has them available for checkout right next to the workshop with a valid library card
Workshop held on the Second Floor of the Library –Central Rooms A & B
