Lisa Cron: An "Origin of Story" Event

On December 16, 2016 at 7pm, Lisa Cron will join the Flint Area Writers via Skype for an “Origin of Story” event at Baker College of Flint, Room S128/130 in the tech building. Lisa will use her Story Genius principles to teach writers how to use brain science to hook readers from the very first sentence. Attendees will be entered to win a scholarship* to Lisa’s 10-week Story Genius Writing Workshop and copies of Lisa’s books, Wired for Story and Story Genius. (*Scholarship amount dependent on attendance.) Entry to the event is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Refreshments will be provided.

LISA CRON is an instructor, lecturer and story coach whose TEDx talk, Wired for Story, opened Furman University’s 2014 TEDx conference, Stories: The Common Thread of Our Humanity. She is a monthly contributor on the award-winning writer’s website Writer Unboxed. Since 2006, she has been an instructor in the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program, and is part of the faculty of the School of Visual Arts MFA program in Visual Narrative. She is the author of Wired for Story and Story Genius. She has taught portions of the Story Genius Method Novel-Writing Workshop at events and conferences all over the country, including:
