Reclamation Project Exhibit

Through a series of guided art sessions a group of domestic violence survivors explored their stories and identities to create a body of artwork that enabled them to begin to reclaim their voices. This exhibit is a glimpse into their journeys.

Domestic violence steals a woman’s* voice. Whether she has suffered violent physical abuse: a slow, steady drip o emotional, psychological, verbal, financial, spiritual, or sexual abuse, or any combination of these, her spirit breaks. She often loses who she is in the process.

The opening reception will be held on October 15th from six to eight pm. Our guest speaker will be Melissa Caldwell, Domestic Violence Co-Director, Flint YWCA. Please join us.
