Reclamation Project Exhibit
Through a series of guided art sessions a group of domestic violence survivors explored their stories and identities to create a body of artwork that enabled them to begin to reclaim their voices. This exhibit is a glimpse into their journeys.
Domestic violence steals a woman’s* voice. Whether she has suffered violent physical abuse: a slow, steady drip o emotional, psychological, verbal, financial, spiritual, or sexual abuse, or any combination of these, her spirit breaks. She often loses who she is in the process.
