The Engraver and Mr. Turner explores how paintings by English artist J. M. W. Turner (1775–1851) were reproduced through the medium of engraving. Since the late 16th century, printmakers have made reproductive prints to capture the image of a painting, drawing, or sculpture. In most cases, the engraver collaborated with the artist to create the print, so the result was as close to the artist’s original intent as possible. The entire Institute is wheelchair accessible through both North and South entrances, and an elevator is located near the first floor restrooms. Wheelchairs are available to use free of charge on a first come first served basis at the Visitor Service desk at the North entrance of the building. Wheelchair accessible restrooms are available in the lobby, in the Art School and on the second floor.

The FIA complies with all ADA requirements and accepts service animals in the museum as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act of 2010.
