Buckham Gallery continues to contribute to the cultural landscape in our region by exhibiting innovative, contemporary art and by providing our community with opportunities to deeply engage with those sometimes challenging exhibitions through accessible programming and enlightening presentations. Our newest interactive gallery experience was born from this idea and we are pleased to announce Saturday’s with Michele.

Join Executive Director Michele Leclaire for intimate discussions about our featured exhibitions. The inaugural offering will be on Saturday, May 14, featuring the national juried exhibition, BIPOC is The Theme!. We have two tours available, 11:30 AM or 2 PM.

BIPOC is The Theme! addresses inclusivity through the 39 works by 38 artists selected for this exhibition. Featuring a wide range of processes and concepts, this exhibition presents strong and sensitive, heartfelt and heartwrenching, representational or abstract, formal and conceptual works by artists who have personally or intergenerationally faced discrimination in the U.S.
