The Flint Folk Music Society presents a concert by The Springtails.
For The Springtails, musical eclecticism is the name of the game. Performing a variety of songs from vaudeville and swing-era standards to more recent pop and folk tunes and originals, The Springtails are led by husband-and-wife, vocals/ukulele/harmonica/trumpet-duo, Andy & Julianna Wilson, backed by Bob Bryan (percussion) and Louis Rudner (double bass). Love is perhaps one of the most potent of human emotions and countless songs have been written – and are still being written – about love. As the title of their debut album suggests, song selections are heavily influenced by the human experience of love: the initial thrill of love, the looniness of love, regretted love, lamented love, redemptive love, and love lost but not forgotten.
