Whose Streets, Black History Documentary Film

Presented by The New McCree Theatre at The New McCree Theatre

The New McCree Theatre’s 2022-2023 Black History Film Series kicks off with the film, WHOSE STREETS, as told by the activists and leaders who live and breathe the Black Lives Matter Movement.  Whose Streets is an unflinching look at the Ferguson uprising.  When unarmed teenager, Michael Brown, is killed by police and left lying in the street for hours, it marks the breaking point for the residents of St. Louis, Missouri.  Grief, long-standing racial tensions, and renewed anger bring residents together to hold vigils and protests over this latest tragedy.  Whose Streets tells retells the genesis of the Black Lives Matter Movement.  Showing Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.  Free admission.  Call the theatre at (810) 787-2200 for information.
