Our two orchestras will perform a concert of standard orchestral repertoire with a bit of holiday music.
Simply Strings, our adult novice orchestra conducted by Jane Ball, will perform Mouret’s Rondo, Barber’s haunting Adagio for Strings, the waltz from Serenade for Strings by Tchaikovsky, All I Want for Christmas. and Merry Christmas, Darling.
Our full symphony orchestra, the Fenton Community Orchestra conducted by nationally-renowned composer Andrew David Perkins, will feature Verdi’s Nabucco, the famous March to the Scaffold by Berlioz, Ferde Grofe’s quirky On the Trail from the Grand Canyon Suite, Overture to Die Fledermaus by Strauss, Autumn by current composer Cait Nishimura, the conductor’s own The Praetorian, and Leroy Anderson’s timeless Sleigh Ride.
Admission is FREE but donations are gratefully accepted. Our facility is accessible.
