The Motown Story, a musical by Charles H. Winfrey, October 6 – 29, 2016. This musical tells the story of one man who pursued a dream, and through hard work and perseverance, realized it. Berry Gordy, former prizefighter and erstwhile songwriter, had a vision for bigger things. He single-handedly harnessed the burgeoning talent in the city of Detroit to create a musical dynasty, the Motown Record Company. His story is accented by the beautiful music and musical talent that was generated as the Motown Record Company evolved, from early Motown to their move to LA.
