*NAMES Project Memorial AIDS Quilt

Create*Display*Dedicate* a Panel

The Names Project is the National Quilt which celebrates and remembers the lives of loved ones who unfortunately lost their battle with AIDS/HIV.

Over 96,000 people of all ages, from all walks of life,

have lost their lives to this global tragedy which has affected

***Every Person***

in some way or another since the early 1980’s to today…

*None of us are alone or immune*

to the

devastating disease

that

we have only just begun to understand.

Today alone, over 3,000 AIDS/HIV victims will lose their battle, and lives around them will forever be changed in many, many ways.

New panels are sadly added every year,

but the pride and genuine love they are sewn with

bring joy and warmth to the hearts of everyone who encounters this

AMAZING Display of Love….

On display at the First Church of the Brethren is an

Original 12X12 Panel

of The Names Project Memorial AIDS Quilt nominated in 1989 for the Nobel Peace Prize…

as well as

*New Panels*

created by quilters, Novice to Seasoned.

Come.

See.

Learn.

And Celebrate and Enjoy the Heartfelt Warmth

of these new panels

created in

Honor and Memory of Deeply Loved Friends and Family,

These new panels will be dedicated

at a special service Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 9am preceded with a quiet continental breakfast at 8am,

all of which is a time set aside to take time to say I Love You to those who are not with us anymore,

 and for us to say

I Love You to those whose hearts ache…as ours ache with them,

and recognize that

AIDS/HIV is an “Everybody Issue”!

If you have a loved one who has lost their lives to AIDS/HIV,

please learn how to create your own panel

at the ongoing workshop at

First Church of the Brethren

during the

2016 Flint Festival of Quilts

in order to share your love for them with others,

that we all might celebrate their lives with you…

have your panel displayed at the 2017 Flint Festival of Quilts

and then

Added to the National Names Project Quilt

Next year!
