The Handmaiden

Presented by Flint Institute of Arts at Flint Institute of Arts

The Friends of Modern Art film series at the Flint Institute of Arts continues with an erotic thriller from South Korea directed by Chan-wook Park (“Old Boy”).  In the 1930s, a woman is hired as a handmaiden to a Japanese heiress, but things aren’t quite what they seem. The Hollywood Reporter has praised this stylish film, based on the Sarah Waters novel, as brimming “with delicious surprises.”
