Expansion of Awareness

Presented by American Aborigine Network at University of Flint-Michigan

American Aborigine Networking (AAN) Presents Expansion of Awareness, a free open-to-the-public 3-Day event series with guest speaker, Hemoc Xelup, Director General of the National Association for the Advancement of Indigenous Peoples International (NAAIPi). AAN ‘s goal is to offer the aborigine and non-aborigine communities the opportunity connect and share cultural and commercial awareness. DG Xelup is a voice to the American Aborigine community that can speak to the global perspectives of identity, status and much more. This 3 day event series will serve as a platform to introduce the public to each other and to those global perspectives.

In recent months numerous American Aborigine tribes have come forth in response to President Obama’s acceptance of the United Nations Declaration of Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) on Thursday, December 16, 2010. The UNDRIP has stirred the indigenous communities on a global scale.

“The National Association for the Advancement of Indigenous People International (NAAIPi) began as a research group studying United States Constitutional Law, Law pertaining to Indigenous peoples of America, and International Law. The group has provided free research information to thousands of fellow researchers, ancestry seekers, native indigenous groups, tribes, clans and nations across America.“ http://www.naaipi.com/about/naaipi-mission-statement/

NAAIPi works tirelessly in the process of reclassification of the American Aborigine. Through connection and expansion, the American Aborigine can increase cultural awareness and promote international tribal commerce.

American Aborigine Networking is the re-introduction of aboriginal / indigenous cultural and commercial progress. We are honored to have DG  Hemoc Xelup participate in creating this progress by personally appearing to our local community to be a voice of the new world created by the implementation of the UNDRIP. By expanding awareness of the presence of the American aborigine in the Michigan area, locals and tribal members will be allowed to develop relationships to advance the progress and unity of our indigenous and non-indigenous peoples. “Many Peoples… One Path.” – NAAIPi
