The Laramie Project is a play written by Moises Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Project about the reaction to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay student at the University of Wyoming.
In this play, the Fenton High School International Baccalaureate Theatre students very professionally become the people of Laramie, Wyoming. With the help of their teacher, Mrs. Lori Thompson, each student has researched their characters (which are many) to make sure they are giving this play the professionalism and it deserves. It is a very true portrayal of the events that happened in 1998. The people of Laramie, Wyoming tell this in their own words. These students are an amazing group of young people. It has touched their hearts deeply. This a play you won’t want to miss.
