The Friends of Modern Art film series at the Flint Institute of Arts presents a satire from Sweden that won the Cannes Film Festival’s Palme d’Or and was nominated for the Best Foreign Film Oscar.
In “The Square,” directed by Ruben Ostlund, a museum curator falls from grace by not practicing what his new exhibit preaches. Claes Bang, Elisabeth Moss and Dominic West appear in what the Toronto Star has praised as a “unique take on the absurdity and contradictions of modern life.”
