The Friends of Modern Art film series at the Flint Institute of Arts [resents a fact-based romantic drama taken from the life of the eccentric Oscar-winning actress Gloria Grahame.
Based on Peter Turner’s memoir, this film follows the playful but passionate relationship between Grahame (played by Annette Bening) and a young Englishman (Jamie Bell) in 1978 Liverpool. Their passion for life, and for each other, is tested by events beyond their control. Julie Walters and Vanessa Redgrave also star.
